About the Project

Making an Impact in SW Washington

Harper’s Playground served as the design consultant on the historic Esther Short Park project.

The oldest public square in the state of Washington, the location is one of many that was transformed through the City of Vancouver’s Project Play—an initiative to install inclusive playgrounds throughout the city.

The new fully inclusive play equipment was designed with assistance from Harper’s Playground. The City of Vancouver also worked with AKS Engineering and Forestry and Pence Construction to complete the playground.
