Harper’s Playground is proud to welcome NIKE as our presenting sponsor and is thrilled to announce that this year’s Keynote Speaker is Civil Rights Icon and Activist Ms. JoAnne Bland.

Ms. Bland is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Foot Soldiers Park and co-founder of the National Voting Rights Museum in Selma, Alabama. Harper’s Playground is the design partner for the forthcoming ‘John R. Lewis Memorial Playground’, a radically inclusive playground for children of all ages and abilities. This play space will give underserved children in Selma, AL, a safe and engaging place to be themselves.

Join us for a night of celebration and community-building at our annual fund-, friend-, and fun-raiser. Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends or making new ones, our event is a perfect opportunity to be part of our mission to inspire and empower communities to build radically inclusive playgrounds. What do you know about play? Well, it’s something kids are super good at! Play allows us to explore our interests. Play teaches us the importance of collaboration and inclusion. Play is FUN. For grownups and kids! A lifelong love of play and all the beautiful things that happen when we play are…simply magical!

Celebrate Community, Inclusion, and Play on June 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at CHAMPS @ Marshall Park, which features wheelchair-accessible equipment, flat surfacing, nature-scapes, and explorable and accessible play areas that meet the social, emotional and physical needs of people of all ages and abilities.
