On June 10th, we hosted our 4th annual How-To Workshop and led a group of professionals, parents, and community advocates in learning how to design their very own Harper’s Playground. The workshop participants left with a heightened passion for the mission with tangible tools to get the job done.
As part of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore the transformational impact of Harper’s Playground firsthand through tours of various playgrounds that we have inspired, empowered, consulted on, or partnered with. These playgrounds include Arbor Lodge Park, Esther Short Park, and our newly opened project, Marshall Park.
Participants gained valuable insights from our years of experience being involved with over 20 playground projects to date. Led by Co-Founder and Chief Play Officer, G Cody QJ Goldberg, we covered a the history of playground design, essential play theories, and the tenets of our unique model.
Harper’s Playground offers a Design Workshop twice a year.
