Rivah was born and raised in Track Town, USA (Eugene, OR) and grew up running track and playing as many sports as possible. She spent a few years living abroad in Costa Rica and Spain where her passion for speaking Spanish was fully embraced and developed. Upon returning to Oregon, her love for sport and being active + her love for language took her to Nike, where she works today in Social and Community Impact, focused on bringing access to physical activity, sport and play to kids around the world. In her time away from work, Rivah enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her husband Brandon and their two children.

I believe in the power of play to change the world, one community at a time. It brings me so much joy to observe my own children engaged with their friends and peers in play. Harper's Playground is what every community needs. One of my favorite quotes is from Mr. Rogers: “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
