Bailey Bernheine

Born and raised in Eugene, OR and now residing in Portland, Bailey has also lived in Germany and the UK. Through exploring the Rose City and the world, she enjoys seeing how our buildings and environments shape and reflect different communities. As an architect in Portland, she works on projects at small and large scale to have an impact in making spaces better for all users.

I’ve been inspired by the quote by Susan Goltsman, 'Inclusive design doesn’t mean you’re designing one thing for all people. You’re designing a diversity of ways to participate so that everyone has a sense of belonging.' I’m so happy to see the diversity of ways people play in Harper’s Playgrounds and the fun and community that they foster. – Bailey Bernheine
