Amanda spent most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area before making the move to Portland. Much of her childhood and college years were spent on soccer fields and being outside, where play became a cornerstone of her confidence, curiosity, and connection to others. After hanging up her cleats, she began her career working with youth of all backgrounds and abilities, advocating for their right to belong without ever being an afterthought. Today, she brings that same commitment to inclusion to her role in HR at Nike, championing environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. When not at work, she spends time exploring Portland with her dog, Millie — a playful Boxer pup who loves getting outside!
The freedom to play and explore is a right everyone should have the opportunity to experience, and inclusive spaces help children learn, connect, and thrive — strengthening communities in the process. Free play and sport have had a profound impact on my life and the relationships I've built because of them.
